About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Certified Hand Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with physicians, therapists, and patients to deliver exceptional care that restores function, improves mobility, and helps patients return to the activities they love. Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Successful completion of clinical internship
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification required
  • Current Colorado Occupational Therapist license required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Strong knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, rehabilitation techniques, and disease processes
  • Experience with custom splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation
  • Excellent manual therapy and patient evaluation skills
  • Ability to educate and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical findings

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Orthopedic and sports medicine experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Provide high-quality rehabilitative care for orthopedic and upper extremity conditions
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize outcomes
  • Develop home exercise programs and educate patients and families on treatment goals
  • Fabricate custom low-temperature thermoplastic splints and educate patients on proper wear and care
  • Provide wound care and management as appropriate
  • Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), students, and support staff
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR system
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Support a positive team environment and contribute to organizational success
