About The Position

The Certified Field Trainer will be responsible for training new Pest Specialists during their first 6 weeks and providing peer support for the first year. This role involves conducting on-the-job training, providing feedback, conducting check-ins, and ensuring the successful completion of training programs. The trainer will also assist with ride-alongs for job candidates and communicate progress to the Trainee's Manager. This position is crucial for developing new talent and ensuring they transition successfully into productive employees within the company.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year with Rentokil North America as a Pest Specialist.
  • Fully-trained according Rentokil NA Career Advancement Program (Career Level 4 or 5).
  • Licensed with appropriate state/province applicator license & categories.
  • Favorable ratings from the most recent Annual Performance Review.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner.
  • Must possess valid driver's license from state of residence.
  • Designated as Primary Peer Support.
  • Trainee must be retained for 1 year + 1 day.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-the-job training with new hires during their first 6 weeks.
  • Ensure completion of weekly Field Training Checklists.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins and monthly meet-ups with new hires during their first year.
  • Complete associated documentation for records.
  • Successfully complete Rentokil NA Field Training Certification Program (with biannual recertification).
  • Conduct ride-along for job candidates during the interview process.
  • Train skills and provide ample feedback in a timely manner.
  • Provide weekly communication with Trainee’s Manager.
  • Complete weekly evaluation and progress sign-off for Field Training Checklists.
  • Develop a solid working relationship with the Trainee.
  • Be available by phone (or text) to answer questions from the Trainee.
  • Help shape expectations for the Trainee as they go through different phases of training and onboarding.
  • Help them make a successful transition from Trainee to productive employee.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to the Trainee’s Manager.
