About The Position

Seeking a Full-Time Certified English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves instructing assigned clients by developing a structured classroom environment to promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth. The teacher will plan and implement instructional programs for clients with emotional and behavioral disorders, adhering to the Georgia Department of Education standards and each student's Individual Education Program (IEP). The curriculum follows the Gwinnett County Public Schools platform and Georgia Standards of Excellence. The facility operates a 24-bed Child Caring Institution (Group Home) for victimized youths aged 12-17, with a modified school schedule that includes additional teaching days during Fall and Winter Breaks, and 15 days during May/June for Summer Enrichment. Unlike some districts, staff are expected to report to work during inclement weather.

Requirements

Must be 21+
Valid Driver's License
Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred.
Georgia Teaching certification: English certification 6-12, Special Education Teaching Certification SPED preferred
Two (2) years teaching experience preferred
Must complete initial new hire paid training: 2 weeks M-F, 8:30a - 5:30p located in Kennesaw, GA
Must pass a thorough background check process.
Must be able to report to work during inclement weather.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.
Special Education Teaching Certification SPED preferred.

Responsibilities
