We're seeking a Certified Electrician for our WynnWood Sawmill, where you can utilize your Red Seal technical expertise, knowledge of PLCs and a couple years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Red seal or Interprovincial TQ
  • Strong background in PLCs setup and troubleshooting
  • Solid background in heavy industry and construction
  • A couple years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels within the mill.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, sensors, transmitters, and other equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to enhance efficiency and precision in the mill processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems.
  • Identify and address electrical safety hazards within the mill environment to maintain a safe working atmosphere.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Prioritize and address critical electrical issues to ensure the continuous operation of sawmill equipment.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate electrical repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to convey information about electrical systems and potential improvements.
