About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Deaf/ Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our staff and work in an amazing school! Requirements

  • Must hold (or be eligible for) a Hearing Impaired PK-12 certificate

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and ASL skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grade levels.
  • Support development of language, communication, auditory skills, and academic content.
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual communication and learning needs.
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations for hearing impairment under Delaware regulation 925
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, including the required Communication Plan for DHH students
  • Ensure students have access to appropriate communication modalities and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and required state documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
