About The Position

ALLWEST is accepting applications for future employment opportunities in Spokane Valley, Washington. Hiring is expected to resume in Spring 2027. The position is not currently open; applicants may be contacted if opportunities become available. ALLWEST is an employee-owned geotechnical engineering, environmental, and construction materials testing firm serving the Inland Northwest and beyond, with six offices in Idaho, Washington, and Montana. The Special Inspector monitors materials, installation, fabrication, erection, and placement of construction components to evaluate compliance with plans and specifications. The role also prepares accurate electronic daily field reports summarizing services provided and calculates test results.

Requirements

ICC Structural Masonry certification.
ACI Certified Field Testing Technician Grade I or higher certification.
Nuclear Gauge Safety Training.
Positive attitude and a customer service approach.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to travel throughout the Western Washington service region.
Ability to use computers and mobile devices such as a tablet to record field data.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds alone and maneuver up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

ICC Reinforced Concrete certification.
ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete certification.
ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certification.
ICC Structural Welding certification.
Associate degree in civil engineering technology.
Project management experience.
