Requirements

Strong foundation in medical coding principles.
Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10, CPT, E&M and HCPCS coding systems.
Attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills.
Effective communication skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Must be located in the state of Montana.

Responsibilities

Reviewing Preliminary and Held for Billing status visit notes in EMA.
Accurately coding or correcting ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes in compliance with payer guidelines and contracts, ensuring prompt billing for both the facility and the surgeons' professional fees.
Performing routine audits.
Providing essential training to physicians and staff on ICD-10 coding compliance and documentation guidelines.
