About The Position
The Certified Clinical Office Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse, following established guidelines and standards. Duty assignments vary and may include both front-office and back-office functions. The position is in OBGYN in Loganville.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program; alternatively, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience may satisfy the education-program requirement.
- One year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program; alternatively, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience in lieu of a degree or certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program.
- Upon hire, hold Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization.
- Upon hire, hold Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
