About The Position

The Career Technical Training Certified Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on and classroom instruction to students enrolled in the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. This includes teaching essential clinical skills such as vital signs, EKG, and phlebotomy, while preparing students for national certification and entry-level healthcare careers.

Requirements

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. No substitutions.
  • One (1) year of experience in a related field.
  • License of Practical Nurse issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  • Must possess and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
