About The Position

The Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist works under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The technologist may scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data and assists in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. The role is full-time, day shift, at Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois.

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification and a state-required license, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained as current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with an emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular lab procedures under physician direction.
• Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared.
• Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Participate in training new staff.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
