Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist

About The Position
Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist assists with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The technologist prepares the procedure room, monitors par levels of instruments and supplies, assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures, participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and helps train new staff.
Requirements
- ARRT-R certification and any license required by the state, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
- BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained as current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
- Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
- Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures.
- Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.
- Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Participate in training new staff.
- Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
