About The Position

The Certified Cardiac First Assist works in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR), assisting surgeons during complex procedures, including vascular, robotic, and neurosurgical cases. The role supports the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique, preparing equipment, and assisting with surgical exposure and procedures. It requires strong technical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced operating room while supporting patient safety and surgical efficiency. The position works day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 18 months of recent CVOR Surgical Assistant experience.
• At least 18 months of permanent CVOR Surgical Assistant experience before travel assignments.
• Experience with vascular, robotic, and neurosurgical procedures.
• Active NBSTSA certification.
• Current Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association at the time of submission.
• A recent supervisory reference from a manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment.
