About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a part-time Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join their team to meet the growing demands for Anesthesia services in the Lafayette, Indiana area. This position will be based at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, joining a group of 15 providers covering a broad range of patients. This is a high-performing, well-respected group with a great culture of teamwork that provides patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, displaying exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. The provider will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members and deliver the highest quality of patient care. The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) works under the Medical Direction Model with anesthesiologists to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia during surgery and/or procedures. Provides patient care before, during and after anesthesia. Educates patients regarding anesthesia, including possible contraindications or side effects of anesthesia.

Requirements

  • Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant
  • Must have graduated with a Master’s degree from a CAAHEP accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
  • Must have passed the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants or the CDQ examination and hold current certification
