About The Position

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is seeking a Certified Anesthesia Tech to support anesthesia care and the work of anesthesiologists and nursing staff. The role is a full-time day shift position, scheduled from 0900 to 1730. The Anesthesia Technician prepares, maintains, and stores anesthesia machines and related equipment in areas where anesthesia is delivered, transports machines as needed, and stocks anesthesia machines and carts with pharmacy-supplied drugs and drug trays, materials, and supplies. The position also supports equipment cleaning and decontamination, processes reusable items, makes rounds to assist with patient care, prepares invasive lines, performs Point of Care testing, rotates organ transplant call, and may retrieve and transport medications.

Requirements

Communicate effectively in English.
Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program.
Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer. A.T.T.).

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a surgery department preferred.
Six months of organ transplant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain, and store anesthesia machines and equipment in areas where anesthesia is delivered; transport machines as needed.
Stock anesthesia machines with drugs and drug trays supplied by pharmacy, as well as materials and supplies; stock anesthesia carts.
Clean and/or decontaminate anesthesia machines, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure appropriate processing of reusable items.
Make continuous rounds during the assigned shift to assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff in managing patient care.
Prepare invasive lines used by anesthesiologists.
Perform Point of Care testing.
Rotate organ transplant call.
Retrieve and transport medications as needed.
