Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related social services field
  • 2+ years of experience in a social service or case management role
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screening, and physical
  • Minimum age 21 years old
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented
  • You exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all the necessary paperwork, processing, and certification of foster families throughout the approval process
  • Train groups and guide prospective foster families on necessary trainings on weekends
  • Monitor and report prospective foster parent file deficiencies to Foster parent, Family Specialist, and Program Director
  • Coordinate information requests from prospective foster parents and assure follow up with the request
  • Assess family history and background to determine appropriateness for certification
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required by the agency, OKDHS and as needed to maintain social work licensure
  • Report ongoing pre-licensure and post-licensure foster home concerns to Program Director
  • Assist with conducting internal audits according to Circle of Care and regulatory quality assurance standards
  • Responsible for the coordination and writing of the Resource Family Assessment
