About The Position

Adena Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant II for their Bridge Street Urgent Care location. This part-time position (24 hours per week) offers flexible scheduling, growth opportunities, and a focus on community-based patient care. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care in compliance with established policies and regulatory standards. Tier 2 LPNs and MAs are expected to utilize fundamental clinical skills and apply moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills and knowledge, often in high-complexity or specialized settings requiring additional training and skill validation. Responsibilities include direct patient care, administrative functions, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPN role).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required (for LPN role).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MA role).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) (for MA role).
  • 1-2 years preferred experience in a similar capacity or medical office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP).
  • Delivers safe, patient-centered care in compliance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilizes fundamental clinical skills and applies moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in daily practice.
  • Performs direct patient care.
  • Handles administrative functions.
  • Actively collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Works under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional (physician, APP, or RN) as a Medical Assistant.
  • Provides administrative support as a Medical Assistant.
