Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or LPN, RN with Current Ohio license.
  • Major/Area of Concentration: Medical Assisting. Nursing, LPN, RN
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
  • Successful completion of Adena skills assessment and written test annually.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • 1-2 years experience in medical office or similar capacity.
  • 1-2 years experience in similar capacity if acting in the Scribe role.
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional care through the application of clinical skills and processes to assigned patients.
  • Provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care.
  • Has access to confidential patient information.
  • If working in a Scribe role, enters information into the Electronic Medical Record or Chart at the direction of a physician or licensed independent practitioner. The Scribe does not and may not act independently but documents the physician's or licensed independent practitioner's dictation and/or activities.
  • Reports to the clinic manager or designee for non-clinical functions.
