Centrifugal Compressor Mechanic
About The Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Centrifugal Compressor Mechanic for projects in Louisiana. If your background is rooted in heavy industrial environments (such as Refining, LNG, Petrochemical, or Offshore Operations) and you excel at precision mechanical work, we want to connect with you. This role involves hands-on expertise in disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling centrifugal compressors and high-speed rotating components. It requires deep knowledge of critical clearances, bearing fits, journal bearings, and advanced mechanical seal applications. The role also involves utilizing laser alignment and interpreting technical QA/OEM standards to bring equipment back to exact specifications, along with a commitment to strict safety protocols, work permit procedures, and high-quality documentation standards.
Requirements
- Experience with BCL, BCL2, and MCL centrifugal compressors
- Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, overhaul, and repair experience
- Experience with rotating equipment and turbomachinery
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Field service experience preferred
- Laser alignment experience is a plus
- TWIC Card preferred
- Candidates with experience on Dresser Rand / Siemens Energy compressor platforms are highly encouraged to apply.
