About The Position

GEA Group, located in Pasadena, TX, is searching for a Compressor Rebuild Mechanic to join our team! This role involves performing tasks to rebuild and repair compressors without supervision, including tear down, inspection, assembly, miscellaneous machining, and parts cleaning. The mechanic will be capable of identifying and resolving basic to intermediate issues with minimal supervisory support, coaching others, and executing simple tests. Additionally, they will provide technical support to customers and service personnel, ensuring all work adheres to customer requirements. Requirements

High school or technical school diploma or equivalent
5-10 years of experience with refrigeration compressors (screw and/or piston/reciprocal).
Mechanical and/or machining experience preferred
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Performs tasks to rebuild/repair compressors without supervision such as: Compressor tear down, inspection, assembly, miscellaneous machining, parts cleaning.
Capable of identifying basic and intermediate issues.
Capable of resolving basic to intermediate issues with minimal supervisory support.
Coaches and provides expertise to resolve issues and ensures corrective action is implemented.
Executes simple tests of compressors without supervision.
Provides technical support to customers and service personnel.
Performs all work according to customer requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
