About The Position

The Centralized Trucking Dispatcher will coordinate and schedule equipment deliveries and pickups for the rental fleet, ensuring timely and efficient service to customers. This role involves optimizing driver routes and transportation logistics to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs. The dispatcher will also arrange and manage third-party transportation providers when internal fleet capacity is exceeded and serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules, pickups, delays, and transportation updates. Additionally, the dispatcher will oversee driver performance, attendance, time management, electronic logs, and annual performance reviews. This position requires tracking, analyzing, and communicating key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, service levels, and operational performance. Collaboration with rental, sales, service, and other internal departments is essential to support equipment movement and business operations. The role also involves fostering positive customer and employee experiences by resolving issues proactively and maintaining a high standard of service and communication.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the service-related industry.
  • Knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations, requirements and oversized/overweight permits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
