About The Position

An advanced clinical leader who manages the continuum of care for patients with chest and esophageal conditions entering the centralized program through screening and/or incidental nodule identification. Nurse Navigator serves as the primary liaison between patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient throughput, symptom triage, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact
• Demonstrates above average skill in basic computer skills as well as electronic health record experience.
• Candidates must show excellent attention to detail and effective follow through.
• Must be able to communicate with multiple levels of staff and providers.
• Has efficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
• Candidate must be able to deal with frustration and stress appropriately.
• In addition, able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and displays advanced interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Oncology experience is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of medical/surgical nursing preferred.
• Professional individual capable of multi-tasking, performing independently and achieving positive outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Facilitates project development and implementation.
• Demonstrates analytical thinking.
• Is open-minded, flexible, and self-directed.
