Works as part of the Patient Access team to schedule patients for outpatient tests and procedures by phone. Verifies and enters demographic, insurance, pre-certification and medical necessity information. Coordinates with patients, physician(s), physician office staff and other hospital employees to maintain accurate, up to date schedules, which minimize clinical downtime while emphasizing customer satisfaction. Maintains a high level of accuracy and completes all patient interactions within designated timeframe.
