About The Position

The Centralized Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting patient access and care coordination by managing scheduling and call operations. As the first point of contact for patients, this position is responsible for delivering a professional, compassionate, and efficient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while navigating patient needs. The Centralized Scheduler contributes directly to enhancing patient satisfaction and supporting Premier Community HealthCare’s commitment to high-quality, community-focused care.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain EPIC certification during employment

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly, courteously, and professionally while assessing patient needs
  • Schedule patient appointments across multiple service lines using the Practice Management System
  • Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately
  • Verify and document patient demographics and appointment details
  • Provide patients with information regarding required documentation, forms, and fees
  • Confirm or reschedule appointments and provide reminders as needed
  • Route calls appropriately, including clinical and billing inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Assist with general inquiries regarding services and locations
  • Communicate effectively with care teams to support smooth patient flow
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department goals
  • Support community engagement efforts and organizational initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
