About The Position

The Centralized Dispatch Coordinator LPN will receive medical transportation requests from Community Health Network Inpatient Units, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health for ground patient transport. Applies clinical knowledge to the job duties. The Centralized Dispatch Coordinator LPN will exhibit the skills of being detail oriented, able to multitask, and communicate effectively while maintaining the highest standard of customer service. Collaborates with other team members to perform duties. The Patient Transfer Center is located at 13050 Parkside Drive in Fishers, IN.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized accredited school of practical nursing, or Graduate from a non-accredited school of practical nursing with three years related professional nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
  • 3+ years of Clinical experience in an LPN role.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively using computer and telephone equipment.
  • Models professional nursing ethical practice.
  • Working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulatory standards and regulations, such as EMTALA, related to acute and urgent/emergent patient transports.
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and Professional industry standards pertaining of health care practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferable experience in a hospital, medical clinic, or related setting.

Responsibilities

  • Receive medical transportation requests from Community Health Network Inpatient Units, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health for ground patient transport.
