Our Surgery Center offers a family-oriented, supportive environment with a six-month orientation to set you up for success. Team members can work in the General OR or specialize in areas like Neuro, with cross-training. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.
  • Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
  • Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need.
  • Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
  • Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.
