The department covers numerous specialties including robotics, cardiovascular, orthopedics, plastics, OB-GYNE, neuro, urology, and trauma. While employees are expected to be proficient in all specialties, they will primarily work in their preferred area after orientation. A significant perk is the opportunity to build relationships with surgeons and request them for family care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A Registered CRCST or currently enrolled in a Program for Surgical Technologists.
• CPR

Responsibilities

• Assist with decontamination, cleaning and sterilization for all surgical trays according to AORN, OSHA and AAMI and IAHCSMM Standards.
• Assists with regulatory documentation regarding sterilization (includes sterilizers and instruments)
• Possesses knowledge regarding the proper handling and caring of surgical instruments.
