About The Position

Maintains recommended standards for assembling, decontaminating, inspecting, containerizing, and sterilizing surgical instruments accurately and in a timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment, and case carts accurately and in a timely manner. Helps maintain a consistent, continuous workflow and provides superior customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Technician program, or, in lieu of a CST certificate, three years of Central Sterile experience.
• Three years of Central Sterile experience, or no experience if the incumbent has Central Sterile Technician certification.

Nice To Haves

• CCST (Certified Central Service Technician).
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist).
