About The Position

Maintains recommended standards for assembling, decontaminating, inspecting, containerizing, and sterilizing surgical instruments accurately and in a timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment, and case carts accurately and on time. Helps maintain a consistent, continuous workflow and provides superior customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program, or three years of Central Sterile experience in lieu of a CST certificate.
• Three years of Central Sterile experience, or no experience if the incumbent has a Central Sterile Tech certification.

Nice To Haves

• CCST (Certified Central Service Technician) certification.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
