About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and electronic medical records.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service excellence.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in healthcare scheduling, medical office administration, or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient appointments for various hospital services, including diagnostic tests, surgeries, consultations, and follow-up visits.
• Utilize scheduling software and electronic medical records systems to accurately input and update patient information, appointment details, and physician preferences.
• Collaborate with clinical departments, physicians, and administrative staff to optimize scheduling efficiency while prioritizing patient needs and preferences.
• Communicate effectively with patients to provide appointment reminders, explain procedures, and address any concerns or questions.
• Coordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate billing information.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and accommodate urgent or emergent appointment requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
