Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Prepares specimens for testing: verifies correct sample type, volume, handling and storage conditions.
- Properly centrifuges, aliqouts and labels specimens and delivers to appropriate laboratory department in a timely manner.
- Professionally communicates with phlebotomists, Lab Technicians, hospital staff and patients by phone and in person as needed.
- Performs Automation line maintenance.
- The central processor is a departmental ambassador and is responsible for providing excellent customer service.
- This position does have access to confidential patient information and direct patient care.
- This position does not have access to funds.
