About The Position
The Central Processing Assistant supports the Central Processing Department at William Beaumont University Hospital, a Level I Trauma and academic medicine facility. The department provides sterile instrumentation for Surgical Services and other departments. The assistant prepares supplies for surgery, decontaminates patient care equipment, prepares floor trays for sterilization, cleans case carts, operates washers and ultrasonic cleaners, transports instruments to and from surgery, and helps the department meet regulatory compliance. Candidates who have completed a sterile processing program qualify for a Central Processing Tech I position and are encouraged to apply for that role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare supplies for surgery.
