About The Position
The Central Processing Assistant supports the Central Processing Department at William Beaumont University Hospital, a Level I Trauma and academic medicine facility. The department provides sterile instrumentation for Surgical Services and other departments. The role helps prepare supplies and instruments for procedures and supports the safe and compliant operation of the department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare supplies for surgery.
- Decontaminate patient care equipment.
- Prepare floor trays for sterilization.
- Clean case carts.
- Operate washers and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Transport instruments to and from surgery.
- Assist the department in meeting regulatory compliance.
