About The Position

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Central Processing Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of the Central Processing department. The role assists the Central Processing Manager in meeting production and payroll goals and ensuring employees meet production standards, merchandise guidelines, customer service expectations, mission objectives, and company policies. The Assistant Manager provides leadership, training, operational support, and oversight to maintain a safe, productive, and efficient work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail sales experience.
At least one year of management or supervisory experience, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to supervise and train employees in production operations.
Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions while demonstrating good judgment, patience, and understanding.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to read, write, speak, hear, and perform business-related mathematical calculations.
Ability to operate point-of-sale production equipment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, and move items weighing at least 40 pounds.
Ability to occasionally work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following Kaizen principles, PPE requirements, safety procedures, facility inspection practices, incident reporting procedures, and monthly safety meetings.
Serve as department Safety Captain and ensure required equipment is maintained in safe operating condition.
Support monthly production goals and manage department operations in accordance with company policies.
Contribute appropriate merchandise to support Ecommerce revenue goals.
Follow recycling and salvage procedures to maximize donation value and reduce disposal costs.
Sort, grade, hang, and price merchandise according to established guidelines and meet daily production goals.
Order RAW product as needed to meet production goals and budget objectives.
Follow Good, Better, Best pricing guidelines.
Support positive working relationships between staff and other departments and address employee concerns promptly and professionally.
Promote employee knowledge of Goodwill programs and mission services.
Prepare accurate reports, control payroll expenses, and submit required documentation on time.
Complete and maintain Kaizen inspections, facility checklists, meeting agendas, notes, and attendance records.
Assist with physical department and premises operations and oversee operations when the Central Processing Manager is absent.
Submit maintenance requests as needed and maintain cleanliness throughout the production floor, backroom, and exterior areas.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, staffing, scheduling, training, and supervising employees.
Promote effective communication through department meetings, one-on-one coaching, and regular employee feedback.
Ensure compliance with employee policies and procedures.
Train employees on production standards, pricing guidelines, recycling and salvage procedures, and quality control standards.
Facilitate and participate in weekly training and educational sessions to improve employee knowledge, motivation, and performance.
Perform other duties assigned by the Central Processing Manager.
