About The Position
The Central Intake Coordinator will be responsible for registering Home Health patients for services, obtaining and documenting payer source/verification of insurance, and obtaining and documenting authorization. This role also involves making the initial "Welcome Call" to discuss potential financial responsibilities and explain Home Health Care services.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Home Health care or medical registration experience
- Health care intake or billing/authorization experience
- Phone and computer skills
- Organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to work with all levels of peers and leadership
Responsibilities
- Registering Home Health pts for services
- Obtaining and documenting payer source/verification of insurance/payer source
- Obtaining and documenting authorization
- Making the initial "Welcome Call" discussing possible financial responsibilities and explanation of HHC services
