About The Position
This is a 2nd shift position for a Centerless Grinder. The role requires standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs. Some overtime may be required, with a potential work schedule of Monday-Saturday. The position is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), requiring the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status.
Requirements
- Three years of experience with centerless grinders and cylindrical grinders.
- Basic grinding skills required to set-up and run multiple cylindrical parts.
- Knowledge of grinding wheels and wheel dressing.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Familiarity with precision gauging of aerospace parts.
- Possess mechanical skills.
- Basic shop mathematics skills working with decimals to .0001”.
- Results-oriented, motivated, and able to deal with changing priorities.
- Some exposure to an industrial environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift heavy gauges.
- Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status due to ITAR and EAR regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of working with metals is helpful.
