About The Position

The Center Store Specialist is the store’s point person for excellence across key center store categories, including Dairy, Frozen, Bulk, Coffee, Candy, and Beer & Wine. The role ensures product freshness, pricing accuracy, merchandising compliance, and inventory integrity while supporting guest engagement and maintaining operational standards. The position calls for attention to detail, multitasking, positive energy, teamwork, hospitality, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

This position pays $14.60–$15.57 per hour and requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. The work involves extended periods standing or walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending and reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, and exposure to extreme temperatures. Team members must wear approved head coverings and personal protective equipment and may use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach; lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; and work around extreme temperatures.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, including up to 4 hours without a break or as required by law.
• Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, and pallet jacks.
• Must wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Center Store categories meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating and temperature compliance for dairy and frozen items.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment for dairy, frozen, bulk, coffee, candy, beer, and wine.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, and ensure proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
