About The Position
This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. A new hire can expect the role of center store clerk to include stocking, straightening, and rotating product on shelves in various departments, processing incoming product, and maintaining cleanliness of shelves and displays. Training will be provided at the store level.
Requirements
- 18 years or older to apply
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
