About The Position
This role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. The primary responsibilities include stocking, straightening, and rotating product on shelves in various departments such as Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery. The position also entails processing incoming product, reading and understanding shelf tags, sorting damaged product, and operating equipment like hand jacks, power lifts, and cardboard balers. Maintaining cleanliness of shelves, displays, and storage areas, adhering to company safety guidelines, and meeting productivity standards are also key aspects of this role. Additional duties may be assigned by store management.
Requirements
- Candidates MUST be available between 10am - 6pm and weekends to be considered.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Able to stock 50 cases per hour
- Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
- Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
- Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
- Able to pull loaded stock truck
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates.
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates.
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments.
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
