About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. A key aspect of the role is maintaining regular and reliable attendance, which is essential. The center store clerk will be responsible for stocking, straightening, and rotating product on shelves in the Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery Departments. This includes processing incoming product from the warehouse and direct store delivery vendors, and understanding shelf tags. The role also requires sorting damaged product for credit and operating equipment such as a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler, while adhering to company safety guidelines. Maintaining the cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler, and freezer is crucial. The clerk must also meet company productivity standards. Additional duties may be assigned by store management.

Requirements

• 18 years or older to apply
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance
• Bending
• Stooping
• Able to stock 50 cases per hour
• Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
• Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
• Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
• Able to pull loaded stock truck
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers

• Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
• Maintain company productivity standards
