About The Position

Grifols is seeking an EMTB, EMTA, Paramedic, or LPN for a Center Medical Specialist position at a plasma donation center. The role focuses on assessing donor suitability and supporting donor health and safety. Salary depends on licensure and experience. The work is performed in a plasma center.

Requirements

Be educated and currently certified or licensed in the state of employment, in accordance with state requirements, as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
Current CPR certification is required.
Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and to listen to and understand spoken information.
Ability to work independently while following oral or written instructions.
Ability to perform a wide range of tasks in response to variable demands and changing conditions.
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups.
Hearing acuity is essential.
Color perception and discrimination, with near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and in the other eye to 20/100.

Responsibilities

Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability.
Build rapport with donors to support overall customer satisfaction.
Protect donor and staff confidentiality.
Inform donors of potential hazards.
Educate donors about general health and counsel them regarding unacceptable test results.
Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
Evaluate histories of illness or medication use to ensure continued donor suitability.
Assist with employee training.
Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.
