About The Position

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a talented Center Manager to support the mission and purpose of the Children Board’s Family Resource Center program. The Center Manager will assist the CBFRC Director by providing supervision and direction to Intake Referral Specialist, Support Specialist, and Family Specialists. This role is crucial in managing programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems, serving as the leader for day-to-day operational decision-making and the main point of contact for community partners. The position requires a strength-based approach to family support service delivery, effective staff management, and adherence to agency policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with required data systems.
  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
  • Must have a high level of energy, adaptability to irregular hours, able to travel as needed.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in both verbal and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of Center services.
  • Serve as the leader for day-to-day Center operational decision-making and as the main point of contact for collaborating with community partners.
  • Monitor daily operation of assigned staff to assure progression toward agency’s contract goals.
  • Participate with CBFRC Director in formulation of agency policies, and with agency CQI activities.
  • Meet regularly with CBFRC Director to review Center activities.
  • Train and develop Center staff in skills to implement programs or events at the Center.
  • Recruit and facilitate an engaged Advisory Council to survey and guide both operations and services.
  • Provide timely reports to Children’s Board, regarding operations, services, and finances.
  • Establish a respectful and supportive workplace environment; and elevating any issues or concerns to the CBFRC Director.
  • Attend Program meetings as required.
  • Perform written employee evaluations for all assigned staff.
  • Respond to staff and clients to ameliorate problems.
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring and training of new employees.
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and community resources.
  • Provide community education and engagement through public presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with local programs.
  • Work flexible hours to include some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Perform all other duties within reason as assigned by CBFRC Director.
  • Understand the value and foundation of the Protective Factors framework.
  • Practice Family Support Principles.
  • Cross train to perform daily operating procedures.
  • Participate in Center events and work to support contractual outcomes.
  • Obtain training in the Center data system: Attendance and Needs Tracking System and maintain member confidentiality.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
