About The Position

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a talented Center Manager to support the mission and purpose of the Children Board’s Family Resource Center program. The Center Manager will assist the CBFRC Director by providing supervision and direction to Intake Referral Specialist, Support Specialist, and Family Specialists. This role involves overall management of programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems for Center services, serving as the leader for daily operational decision-making and the main point of contact for community partners. The position requires monitoring daily operations to ensure progress toward agency contract goals, participating in agency policy formulation and CQI activities, and meeting regularly with the CBFRC Director to review Center activities. The role also includes training and developing staff, recruiting and facilitating an Advisory Council, providing timely reports to the Children’s Board, establishing a respectful workplace, attending program meetings, performing employee evaluations, responding to staff and client issues, participating in hiring and training, and collaborating with volunteers and community resources. Community education and engagement through public presentations, and developing/maintaining relationships with local programs are also key responsibilities. The position requires flexible hours, including some evenings and Saturdays, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs of the service population, understand the value of the Protective Factors framework, practice Family Support Principles, be cross-trained in daily operating procedures, participate in Center events, support contractual outcomes, obtain training in the Center data system (Attendance and Needs Tracking System), and maintain member confidentiality. Bilingual employees may be needed for verbal or written communications. Mandatory trainings must be attended.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education or related field required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with required data systems.
  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of Center services
  • Serves as the leader for day-to-day Center operational decision-making and as main point of contact for collaborating with community partners.
  • Monitors daily operation of assigned staff to assure progression toward agency’s contract goals.

  • Responds to staff and clients to ameliorate problems.
  • Participates in recruitment, hiring and training of new employees.
