Requirements

One (1) year of experience in the maintenance upkeep and beautification of turf cemeteries, facilities, and related environs.
Some knowledge of maintenance equipment such as backhoe loader, dump truck, mowers, tractors, power overseeders, aerators, thatchers, trimmers, etc.
Some knowledge of landscape and sprinkler system design; flow pumps; of hazards and safety precautions associated with equipment operations; of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and proper application of the same.
Some knowledge of turf and greens management.
Strong interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

Lawn cutting and trimming
Digging and marking graves
Installing headstones
Developing new sections of the cemetery
Assisting with funerals by directing processions and coordinating activities
Operating various equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, and lawn mowers
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on machines
Overseeing the watering and aeration of cemetery turf
Managing automated sprinkler systems
Carrying out seasonal duties like snow removal and winterizing sprinkler systems
Contributing to the aesthetic and functional quality of the cemetery
Ensuring the care of trees, shrubs, and other plant life
