About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Cell Phone Repair Technician, Level 3, for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing cell phones, tablets, computers, and laptops, with micro-soldering skills being a significant plus. This role involves diagnosing and repairing hardware issues, performing component-level repairs, and managing parts and reporting.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of related experience repairing PC motherboards (PCBs) to component level.
  • Completion of high school/GED and at least two (2) years of industrial electronics work, including fabrication, installation, or repair of small electronics products OR Technical Associate degree in Electronics.
  • Strong soldering skills.
  • Ability to use small hand tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive electronics components.
  • Ability to disassemble and assemble Computers, Laptops, Game Consoles, Tablets, and Smartphones.
  • Experience dealing with Mobile Devices Hardware (Removing and replacing Screens, Digitizers, charging ports, motherboards, and similar) on phones and tablets.
  • Experience micro-soldering with a microscope is a must.
  • Need experience with component-level repair.
  • Wide experience with software (Windows and Mac Platforms).
  • Experienced dealing with Hardware issues (Diagnosis and repair), assembly, and disassembly of small electronics products.
  • Utilize Microscope for micro-soldering IC Chips, Audio IC, Data Recovery, Touch IC, Charging IC equipment, and hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3 Technician experience preferred but not required.
  • Micro-Soldering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cell phone screen repairs for iPhone, Android devices, and tablets/iPads.
  • Replace charging ports, batteries, speakers, and back glass on cell phones and tablets.
  • Perform screen, battery, keyboard, and motherboard replacements on PCs and laptops.
  • Upgrade/replace components such as RAM, HDD, motherboard, and power supply on PCs and laptops.
  • Remove viruses and malware from PCs and laptops.
  • Install software on PCs and laptops.
  • Perform DC jack soldering/repair on laptops.
  • Replace LCD assembly on laptops.
  • Perform screen, battery, keyboard, and motherboard replacements on Mac/Macbooks.
  • Upgrade/replace components such as RAM, HDD, motherboard, keyboard, LCD/LED on Mac/Macbooks.
  • Remove viruses and malware from Mac/Macbooks.
  • Perform OS reloads on Mac/Macbooks.
  • Replace LCD touch screen assemblies and batteries on cell phones/tablets.
  • Perform charging port soldering replacements on cell phones/tablets.
  • Refurbish phones.
  • Perform component-level replacements (e.g., headphone jack, ear-speaker, home button) on cell phones/tablets.
  • Perform backup/restore operations on cell phones/tablets.
  • Repair PCBs for PC products (laptops, tablets, cell phones).
  • Replace PCB components, including soldering and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
  • Use the BGA Rework station to remove and install BGA components.
  • Perform inspections of Mac PC products (laptops, tablets, cell phones).
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for ordering parts and manage them upon receipt.
  • Prepare required reports and submit them to the Repair Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
