About The Position

The Halliburton Cell is a Vallourec Tube-Alloy function on the Halliburton site. The location of this will be in Lafayette, LA. This role is responsible for the daily operations of the cell, including job setup, training, gage calibration, CNC program revision, and the flow of product through the machine shop.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain information from the VAM I-Key.
  • Ability to set-up all gages that the Facility is currently licensed to machine.
  • Willingness to shift priorities, work overtime and assist in areas of the facility as directed by Supervision.
  • Successfully complete all training specified related to CNC 4 job level.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with other machinists to reduce setup times, improve quality, increase production and properly maintain machines.
  • Experience checking product molds or contour tracing.
  • Experience assisting machinists in the daily performance and problem solving of their jobs.
  • Experience writing CNC programs for parts that are build-to-print.
  • Experience training machinists in proper procedures for editing CNC programs.
  • Experience in the absence of the Supervisor – Machine Shop, assuming the Manufacturing Supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience verifying and approving Employee hours worked in the time keeping system.
  • Experience directing activities from the Daily Manufacturing Schedule.
  • Experience ensuring all Manufacturing stress relief, forklift, phosphate, weekly maintenance, and crane logbooks are maintained.
  • Experience ensuring all Manufacturing 5S Standards are maintained.
  • Experience participating with a Continuous Improvement Team at minimum, once per year.
  • Experience ensuring all Employees are following all applicable HS&E policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide CNC operators with necessary materials such as gages, programs, drawings, inspection sheets, protectors, setup material, and inserts for scheduled jobs.
  • Obtain information from the VAM I-Key.
  • Collaborate with other machinists to reduce setup times, improve quality, increase production, and maintain machines.
  • Set up all gages licensed for machining at the facility.
  • Inspect product molds or contour tracing when inspection personnel are unavailable.
  • Assist machinists with daily job performance and problem-solving.
  • Write CNC programs for build-to-print parts.
  • Train machinists on proper procedures for editing CNC programs.
  • Assume Manufacturing Supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor – Machine Shop.
  • Verify and approve employee hours worked in the timekeeping system.
  • Direct activities according to the Daily Manufacturing Schedule.
  • Be flexible and willing to shift priorities, work overtime, and assist in other areas as directed by Supervision.
  • Ensure maintenance of Manufacturing stress relief, forklift, phosphate, weekly maintenance, and crane logbooks.
  • Ensure all Manufacturing 5S Standards are maintained.
  • Participate in a Continuous Improvement Team at minimum, once per year.
  • Ensure all employees follow applicable HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Successfully complete all training specified related to CNC 4 job level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
