Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent, required.
  • 5-7 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Supervisory experience helpful
  • Experience performing various statistical analyses
  • Metrology skills
  • Excellent communication skills; (Oral and written)
  • Computer skills including MS Office Suite, Minitab
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology

Responsibilities

  • Carry out defined tasks related to assigned projects in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • Keeps accurate notes and records of all development tasks.
  • Develop & apply innovative/creative ideas to further develop capabilities.
  • Setup and operate Mechanical/Hydraulic presses.
  • Setup and operate ISO press, roll mill, and hand presses.
  • Provides technical support in setting up of presses.
  • Operate sintering furnaces
  • Test and characterize porous components
  • Test and evaluate powders.
  • Evaluate and solve equipment problems.
  • Assist in the design of tools.
  • Machine parts using lathe, milling machine, and Drill press
  • Set-up and operate EDM equipment
  • Set-up and operate CNC equipment
  • Train manufacturing employees in primary processing.
  • Characterize and test various types of material.
  • Provide statistical analysis for predetermination of capabilities.
  • Produce product to customer specifications and requirements.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions for this position.
  • Operate equipment necessary for production runs.
  • Provide technical support for operations personnel.
  • Setup, assemble, and test various types of parts per customer specifications and provide statistical analyses.
  • Issue metal powders for production jobs.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • To record data and information while processing material for the project.
  • Setup presses, roll mill, ISO press, and furnaces to make and sinter parts to meet objectives of projects.
  • To test and characterize material to project specifications and requirements.
  • Provide technical support for operations personnel.
  • Train manufacturing employees on process and QMS procedures.
  • Maintain safety, 6S & QMS procedures.
  • Evaluation of powder.
