About The Position

Tube Bend is seeking a Full-time Tube Fabricator for an exclusive confidential search in Ft. Worth, TX. This role is crucial for fabricating and assembling tubing for various systems, directly supporting production and quality teams. The work ensures components meet strict dimensional and functional specifications, impacting downstream assembly and testing. This is an onsite role on 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday) with an initial training requirement on 1st shift for at least two months to qualify for permanent 2nd-shift placement. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience (degreasing, preparing tubing for bending, preparing components for stock/transport).
  • Ability to perform rigid tube, waterspider, and saw cell processes with limited assistance.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting written instructions, procedures, blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to implement and apply lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Ability to use standard business software and specialized systems as required.
  • Must acquire a certified operator stamp within one year in the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMM and Aicon inspection systems.
  • Previous experience operating rotary draw tube bending machines or semi-automatic tube benders.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble tubing for air, fuel, oil, hydraulic, and related systems.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and bend data charts to determine tubing dimensions and finish specifications.
  • Set up and operate manual and power machines to cut, form, swage, flare, and deburr tubing.
  • Perform single bend operations using a semi-automatic tube bender.
  • Attach fittings (nuts, sleeves, collars, caps) and assemble tubing in jigs/fixtures for welding.
  • Measure and inspect tubing components using calipers, height gauge, bevel protractor, ball gauges, fixtures, CMM, Aicon System, and visual controls.
  • Test tubing assemblies for leaks and defects using pressure-testing equipment.
  • Mark identifying information via electro-chemical etching or labeling and perform cleaning/lubrication.
  • Remove minor imperfections by mechanical or manual methods per approved process instructions.
