About The Position

The CEI Inspection Manager will build GAI’s Panhandle CEI business and market presence while leading business development, client relationships, proposals, and delivery of transportation and infrastructure work. The role has direct access to GAI leadership and support from the firm’s Jacksonville office. The position is assigned to the Tallahassee or Panama City, Florida area and includes field, office, and client-facing work. The manager leads CEI teams and mentors Project Administrators, Inspectors, and Contract Support Specialists while ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and compliant with FDOT requirements. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 10 years of CEI experience, including at least 5 years on FDOT road or bridge projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida.
Proven business development and proposal success.
CTQP Final Estimates Level II.
CTQP Quality Control Manager.
FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Civil engineering degree.
Existing FDOT District 3 client relationships.

Responsibilities

Help win new CEI contracts with FDOT, counties, and cities.
Build client relationships and lead proposals.
Manage CEI teams handling contract administration, estimates, EEO compliance, and changes.
Lead and mentor Project Administrators, Inspectors, and Contract Support Specialists.
Keep projects on schedule, on budget, and FDOT compliant.
Build the Panhandle CEI business and shape its growth strategy.
