About The Position

RK&K is seeking a CEI Bridge Project Administrator to join their Construction, Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Central Florida. This role will be part of the Construction Management group, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer or Construction Manager. The position involves providing on-site technical management for transportation construction projects. RK&K is a leading CEI firm in Florida, specializing in major transportation construction projects including new alignments, capacity and interchange improvements, ITS construction, and tolling infrastructure conversions and express lanes.

Requirements

Civil Engineering degree
10+ years Bridge PA experience
Florida project administrator experience
CTQP Final Estimates Level II Qualification
FDOT Advanced MOT certification
Experience having performed roadway and bridge project related duties in the State of Florida (i.e. Materials Acceptance and Certification System (MAC), EEO compliance, processing of Supplemental Agreements and/or work orders, progress and final estimates, reviewing and recommending field changes).
Must be familiar with FDOT Specifications and procedures
Must be willing to attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.

Responsibilities

Manages, directs and assigns specific tasks to administrative staff, contract support specialists and inspectors.
Directs construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
Exercises initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
Assists in all phases of the construction projects.
Review and draft project correspondence, RFIs, submittents, claims, change orders, and time extension requests.
Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
Performs internal quality assurance reviews between assignments to promote contract compliance and evaluate CEI staff.
