About The Position

Implements and teaches educational semiconductor programs, courses, experiences, and services that will directly aid students in achieving educational objectives. This is a temporary position, grant-funded through 12/31/2026.

Requirements

  • Three years of related work experience in a technical field.
  • BS in Engineering
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for teaching at multiple locations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students.
  • Ability to move cylinders, steel, and other equipment typical of a welding shop or lab.
  • Ability to lift and move 80 pounds.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, classroom, or other current learning technologies for effective teaching at the community college level.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs students in the advanced manufacturing semiconductor discipline.
  • Provides learning activities that stimulate student involvement and encourage critical thinking.
  • Develop and deliver semiconductor training.
  • Support the installation of semiconductor equipment on campus.
  • Maintains office hours to assist students.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Workforce Projects Coordinator, Manager and/or Dean.
  • Provide instruction 3 of the following areas: Electronics, Automated systems, PLCs and Mechanical systems.
